Bigpoint developing A Game of Thrones MMO
Battlestar Galactica Online's Bigpoint has announced that A Game of Thrones is getting the MMO treatment via their proprietary Unity Engine, and launching via browsers. Artplant is aiding Bigpoint create the online experience of Westeros. Details about the MMO will be arriving next week at GDC which runs March 7-9. It's likely to be free-to-play.
Atlus to publish A Game of Thrones RPG, story penned by George R.R. Martin
Publisher Atlus has picked up Cyanide's A Game of Thrones RPG and will be shipping it off to stores. It features an original story written by A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin. Apparently it will also include clips from the hugely popular HBO series. Details about the RPG title remain thin on the ground, but the protagonist is leading former Rebel soldiers?
FIFA 12 kicks off at UK chart top, earns 3rd biggest launch week
EA Sports' FIFA 12 has earned the third biggest all format launch week in the UK, besting Grand Theft Auto IV. This knocked down Gears of War 3 2nd. Silicon Knights' X-Men: Destiny entered 18th while the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection took 7th. A Game of Thrones - Genesis missed the chart.

Focus Home Interactive has revealed that A Game of Thrones – Genesis will be released in retail and on digital stores exclusively for the PC on 29th September, 2011. Faithful to the world imagined by George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones - Genesis emphasizes the backstabbing and political intrigues which are common in Westeros and the fight for the Iron Throne.
Cyanide's A Game of Thrones "like no other RTS," PC exclusive
Fantasy tie-in A Game of Thrones is doing pretty well for itself on television, so Cyanide Entertainment hopes they'll capture the videogame equivalent. It's an entirely exclusive affair for the PC and, while it "might sound pretentious," the team really believe it's "like no other" real-time strategy out there.
