CEO and creator of Broken Sword, Charles Cecil, has warned everyone to brace themselves for "catastrophic Kickstarters within the next year," saying many underestimate funds they need.
He says the crowd-funding platform was a "great tool two years ago," thanks to it being fresh, but time is catching up. Broken Sword 5 raised $771k frombut it covered less than a third of costs.
Revolution Software has confirmed today that Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent’s Curse will be released worldwide for the PC on 4th December, 2013. The developer also revealed that the series will, for the first time, take a episodic route with two episodes, concluding in January 2014.
Revolution Software has been talking about a release date for Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse, which has been in development for the last two years and is due to be released for the PC and other platforms.
There's no solid date to mention at the moment, but Revolution Software are hoping to get it out before the end of the year.
Revolution has announced that the fifth game in the series, Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse, would be "approaching alpha" soon, and determined the game would be getting a late 2013 release on PC.
The long-awaited sequel, Broken Sword: The Serpents Curse, will be delayed from an expected April-May 2013 release to the second half of 2013, according to developer Revolution Software.
