Company of Heroes could be the most revolutionary RTS to come along in awhile.

company of heroes is difficult but rewarding game you can download maps for skirmish to avoid real players and have some fun on your own or just go online...the map editor takes ages to master and it will be a while till i have my own maps out there but look out for em...overall this is a must have game excellent overhead and 3d graphics top notch sound and amazing battles
Company of Heroes is built on Relic's next-generation Essence Engine and also utilizes the Havok Physics engine, delivering cinematic visual detail in a world completely driven by realistic physics. Gamers will experience the journey of the brave men of Able Company in a deep single-player campaign that begins with the invasion of Normandy through their fight across Europe, all set against the most dynamic battlefield ever seen in a game. Company of Heroes' completely destructable environment means no two battles ever play out in the same way. Advanced squad AI delivers startling new realism and responsiveness, bringing soldiers to life as they interact with the environment and execute advanced squad tactics to eliminate the opposition forces.
It's the right evolution of Warhammer 40000, a game too fast to let players make any strategic decision. In this game you must consider very carefully how to move your squads and the advance can't be too fast. The player have to master terrain cover, infantry tactics and then take some time to decide to win.
Excellent sounds and graphic (which is irrelevant, but in this case help a lot), especially units animation are very realistic.
It's been a while since game kept me up all night long without a sleep. In CoH you get beautiful graphics set in WWII scenery and packed in quite fast paced RTS clash.
Units are cool, moving units is cool, seing them fight and duck for cover is kewl, I would recommend to every person that liked any RTS game, and to anybody interested in WWII scenery.
But fast pased battles can drive somebody insane.
