Squeezing everything they can out of their CryEngine, Crytek have announced a virtual reality game called Robinson: The Journey. It's about a young boy stranded on a mysterious planet following a crash landing. We're free to explore in full 360 degrees of detail, says the studio, and we'll "become pioneers" by interacting with the rich ecosystem. An official website has launched but there's little there.

With the GameSpy Technologies shutdown this May 31st there are going to be a lot of games with any multiplayer, unless studios get patching. Crytek has confirmed Crysis 1 & 2 will be losing their online portions. May 31st will be the "conclusion of online multiplayer support" as the GameSpy service shuts off. Both games' single-player campaigns are "unaffected by this transition,".

EA donates $1.65 million to American Cancer Society following Humble campaign

A total of $10.5 million has been carved up between five different charities in the wake of the Humble Bundle sale that included some of EA's biggest PC games, of which they kept none of the revenue. Peter Moore tweeted he's "so proud of Team EA" for raising the $10.5m from the charity campaign, with $1.65m of that going to the American Cancer Society.
