Double Fine Productions and GOG.com announced this morning that pre-orders are now open for Day of the Tentacle Remastered, which will be released for the PC on 22nd March, 2016. It's also in development for consoles, but those dates haven't been confirmed yet, so it looks like the PC might be getting it first.

Double Fine has revealed that Day of the Tentacle Remastered will be released in March 2016, for PC, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Tim Schafer's classic point and click game, Day of the Tentacle, originally released in 1993 to critical acclaim. Along side Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword, for me personally, Day of the Tentacle is one of the best point and click games ever made. That's why it's exciting to hear that the Remastered version will feature new hand-drawn artwork and audio, with options to switch between the “classic” and “remastered” versions of the game.

Tim Schafer of developer Double Fine revealed the date which Grim Fandango Remastered will be entering our lives, as well as released a new trailer for the classic adventure game. Another announcement slipped out as Schafer confirmed fan suspicion that Day of the Tentacle will also be remastered with a Special Edition for PC and PlayStation 4 when it arrives.
