Publisher OP Productions has announced that Infestation: Survivor Stories (formerly The War Z) has surpassed 1.3 million registered users worldwide according to publisher OP Productions.
OP Productions has announced that their zombie survival MMO The War Z was no longer allowed to be called that thanks to its similarity to World War Z. As such, the game will be known as Infestation: Survivor Stories.
Controversial zombie survival MMO The War Z has been the victim of database attacks for both their online forums and the game itself. Compromised data includes email, passwords, IPs and character names.

Survival horror MMO The War Z from Hammerpoint Interactive is in trouble with its community after users began complaining that the game doesn't deliver what was advertised through Steam.
Right now it's Steam's top selling title. Its listing promises maps ranging 100 to 400 square km, but it has only just one at 72 km. They're sorry to those who "misread information" about The War Z.
The War Z executive producer Sergey Titov expressed his disgust at spawn campers in a forum post on the game's official forum, and unfortunately used a gay slur in the process.
