It's all been done before, which is a significant part of Inversion's problem.
After being pushed back twice, Namco Bandai has today confirmed the release date for upcoming gravity-shooter Inversion.
Namco-Bandai's dizzying gravity-themed shooter, Inversion, was originally to be released on the 7th February, but the game was until further notice. Namco-Bandai has now served that notice, and has given Inversion a 5th June release in North America and the 8th June in the UK.
Namco-Bandai has announced that its topsy-turvy third person shooter Inversion won't be making its 7th February release date. The nebulous release window for the game is now "early 2012", as the publisher states that developer Saber Interactive requires "additional development time" to "polish several key aspects of the game ensuring Inversion is of the highest quality."
Namco Bandai has announced a specific date for Saber's 'Gears of War loving' Inversion and it's February 8th next year in the United Kingdom.
They used Epic's Gears of War "as an inspiration" and say "why reinvent the wheel?" Inversions brings something new "on the physics front."
