Sword of the Stars II Summary
It's playable, but enjoyable? That's going to need a bit more work...
Here there be monsters...
Paradox Interactive and Kerberos Productions have revealed Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition.
The game includes all previously released DLC, updates and tweaks. It is available for $19.99 across all major distribution outlets, and can be bought right now.
As a thank you to those who have already invested in the game, Paradox are providing End of Flesh DLC for free for those who own the product up to this point.
Paradox Interactive and developer Kerberos Studios believe now that Sword of the Stars II has finally achieved what it was meant to be at launch a year ago. Existing owners receive an expansion for free.
End of Flesh is the new content for Sword of the Stars II, adding the new Loa race, 25 new techs, 10 new weapon systems, new independent races, new encounters and other galactic stuff.
Kerberos Productions has announced Sword of the Stars 2 is finally in the shape it should have been upon release.
Fredrick Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive, has admitted that releasing Sword of the Stars 2 in the state it was in was a "big mistake", and that the game was a failure.
Speaking at the recent Paradox Convention, Wester said: "Sometimes you’re stuck in a situation where you can only choose between two really bad outcomes. Looking back I’m not sure what I could have done."
Sword of the Stars II was released at the end of October last year...
