It always feels a bit strange writing about the “release” of a game that's been playable for months, but Ubisoft's action RPG The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has finally exited open beta and is now officially a game. A full game. It's complete. You know what I mean.

It's been over a year since the game popped up on Early Access, during which it's been bulked up with a bunch of additional content.

Ubisoft has announced a new event for dungeon-crawler The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot that will let prospective players try out each of the game's hero classes for free.

This weekend Opulencia's Hero Draft allows players to check out the Archer, who's available from 5pm GMT today until the same time on July 22. there's also going to be a weekly community challenge, with the chance to win an exclusive skin.

It might not seem like the most fitting franchise match, but Ubisoft has announced that its free-to-play hack and slasher The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot will receive various bits of branded Watch Dogs content to mark the release of the open-world hacking game.

Said content will take the form of new weapons and clothing, a new castle theme and a version of Watch Dogs lead character Aiden's iconic bandana for each of the game's four classes.

Ubisoft revealed this morning that The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has reached more than 1.5 million registrations in over 240 countries and territories worldwide two weeks after launching in open beta.

The free-to-play RPG has also reached some other pretty impressions stats, with more than 29 billion pieces of gold being plundered in 790,000 player-created castles during the 28 million hours that have been spent in the game. Gamers have also taken advantage of the Twitch streaming service, with more than 3,360 hours clocked to date.
