Torment: Tides of Numenera Latest News
If you're not sure what the Ninth World of Torment: Tides of Numenera actually is, a new introduction trailer should be enough to clear up any immediate questions.
Though already available through the Steam Early Access initiative, those who haven't bought into the game already likely haven't seen much of the RPG title for a some time. While present at a few trade shows like Gamescom in the past, Torment: Tides of Numenera had no playable build open to the public a few short months ago.
inXile announced in atoday that their writing team has completed a first pass of all the game’s content.
Brian Fargo has announced in a Kickstarter update that appropriate level backers of Torment: Tides of Numenera will be getting a beta version of the game on 17 January 2016. The game will also be hitting Steam Early Access nine days later, purchasable by anyone.
Torment: Tides of Numenera is no stranger to a delay or two at this point. The team at inXile Entertainment is dedicated to ensuring that the game is the proper successor to Planescape: Torment. That said, news dropped today that the team will be pushing the planned Beta back to 2016.
inXile has announced on the Kickstarter update page for Torment: Tides of Numenera that the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment will be delayed into 2016, and that Wasteland 2 project lead Chris Keenan will be shepherding the game from here on out. He is taking over from Kevin Saunders, who is leaving the studio.
