In a recent interview with Eurogamer.de, Dead Space producer Glen Schofield revealed that the company plans to develop sequels for the sci-fi FPS once the first edition is released this autumn.
Schofield said; “I’d love for this to become a well established franchise; we’ve created a huge and rich back story and universe, so other games could easily be made.”
In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship’s crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.
It’s currently set for release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
