It’s been confirmed that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is coming to XBLA and PSN, in fact it’s arriving this summer with PS3 gamers enjoying a demo this week.
This revival is based off the Dreamcast release, and it’ll sport online multiplayer and two kinds of HD upscale. This ”definitive version” is being developed by SSFII Turbo’s Backbone.
The PS3 demo will become available on April 30th, with the full game expected to be priced at $15 on the PlayStation Store.
”This version of MvC2 will be the definitive version,” Capcom’s Christian Svensson blogged.
”The original textures and assets from the Dreamcast were actually much higher quality than the Dreamcast could really display at the time and when shown in HD, the impact is really quite amazing.” See Capcom’s MvC 2 teaser below.
