Earl oversees EA’s ”action and strategy” group with Visceral Games now a full label, encompassing all their third-person action game projects.
Does this mean then that the new C&C is also being handled by a Visceral Games development team? The last instalment in the series was already ‘far out’ as it ditched the series traditional and iconic base building for more ‘on-the-go’ tactics.
Tiberian Twilight wrapped up the Tiberian saga of the C&C universe, leaving Red Alert to be exploited in the RTS space. However EA had already planned a major action shooter called Tiberium but it got canned. Is this new project a revival of that?
Until EA are more forthcoming the C&C community can only speculate if it will be another strategy game or indeed something in the action genre - Kane Kart anyone?
