Backbreaker: Vengeance, which was originally an iOS game based on the critically panned Backbreaker, features non-stop, hard-hitting arcade gameplay using NaturalMotion, the physics and graphics engine developed for the original title that was meant to simulate real tackling with player model collision.
“Backbreaker has caught the imagination of players around the world with its fresh approach to the sports genre. Backbreaker Vengeance focuses on the aspects of American football our fans love: incredible euphoria animations, gut-busting tackles, deceptive juke maneuvers and a pick-up-and-play feel,” said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion. “This intense spiritual successor to Tackle Alley will show gamers across the world that when it comes to delivering no-frills football action, Backbreaker: Vengeance is where it’s at.”
Both the XBLA and PSN version are due this Summer.
