It's to show Stardock Games has "learned from our mistakes," said Wardell. October 31st, 2010 is the cut off date for free Elemental: Fallen Enchantress.
"We're going to spend a couple of million dollars and give the sequel away to show our fans we've learned from our mistakes," Wardell said.
"We released Elemental two days early because we were so excited for people see it. We wanted our fans to see the masterpiece we'd put out." Elemental's initial release build was extremely buggy which enraged fans at the time despite quick patches.
It's a rare move for a developer to offer, as penance, an entirely free sequel to those affected. Stardock are a PC only developer who rely heavily on community support.
