However CEO Matthew Karch "wouldn't be surprised if it did." The studio boss notes they "see a lot of opportunities" and hope Microsoft does as well.
The original Halo: Combat Evolved released for Xbox and the PC. The HD remake for PC is "not something that's happening at the moment," but that he "wouldn't be surprised if it did" at some point in the near future. Microsoft has been pushing PC gaming a lot more.
"One of the reasons Microsoft decided to work with us is because the tech was strong, and this game's a lot about execution. And as we work more with those guys we see a lot of opportunities, and I hope they do, too," said Saber boss Matthew Karch.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary lets fans play either the original Xbox game or the updated HD visuals remake. It's releasing on Xbox 360 this November which marks the 10th anniversary for the Bungie created shooter series.
