In fact ”in their shoes,” Levine doesn’t know if he’d have ”written a check” for BioShock at all. If there is any ‘dumb down’ in BioShock Infinite then it’s ”for me,” he jokes.
He declared Take-Two are ”pretty bold on this stuff,” when talking about BioShock’s rather mature game narrative, and they got green lit ”almost immediately.”
”Frankly, in their shoes, I don’t know if I would have written a check for it. ‘Trust me! The kids love objectivism!’,” added Levine. BioShock took the world by storm proving to be a massive hit seemingly from out of nowhere.
”With some of the stuff we’re doing on Infinite, I need to dumb it down for me,” he commented. He assured that Take-Two haven’t made any demands to have it ‘appeal more broadly’ by dumbing down the material. Hopefully then it’s a shocking as the first.
BioShock: Infinite releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2012.
