“Being able to offer a premium game such as End of Nations for free sets us apart in this industry,” said Executive Producer Dave Luehmann.
“At Trion, we strive to innovate online gaming while emphasizing the delivery of the best core gameplay experience available. Our decision to release End of Nations as a AAA free–to-play title is guided by these principles.”
End of Nations will feature an in-game store which will offer a ”wild selection” of items, which will include customization and ‘convenience’ purchases. There will also be an optional subscription available to players, which will offer additional value, but is ”not about gameplay advantage”.
Items in the store can be bought with currency earned in game through playing, or currency bought using real-world money.
End of Nations is due for release later this year, and will the standard edition will be free. Special retail and collectors addition with additional content will also be available for purchase.
