Speaking to Strategy Informer, Alienware’s European Brand Manager, Daniel Chorbit, mused on how the pro-gamer audience probably wouldn’t trust OnLive not to affect their playing experience.
”Well, there’s really two perspectives here,” he said. ”From a Pro-gaming perspective, competitions, tournaments etc… I don’t think it’s going to (kick off), because it depends on internet connection, lag, framerates etc…”
He went on to muse that services like OnLive may find ground with the mainstream audience, but that it was all still too early to tell.
”From a mainstream gamer perspective I still see it as an embryo, It’s still very early to tell. I think it really depends on how it is priced and how easy those boxes are to get.”
