EA Sports has announced that their premiere footie title, FIFA 13, has sold over 4.5M units worldwide in over 40 countries across all platforms in just 5 days. The sold 1.23M units in its first two days of release in the UK alone.
The publisher also noted that on the 30th September, 800,000 gamers played FIFA 13 simultaneously. 66M online matches have been played since launch.
According to EA Sports exec VP Andrew Wilson, ”FIFA Soccer 13 is a critical and commercial success unprecedented in sports entertainment. Every minute of every day millions of fans around the world are experiencing what the critics have already said — FIFA Soccer 13 is the biggest and best sports game we have ever created.”
