Last year at E3 2011, Crytek showed off their Kinect title, a first person, bloody beat'em up set in ancient Rome called Ryse, in which players fought off enemies using motion control. Since the trailer, nothing has been seen of the game, including an E3 2012 no-show.
Microsoft Studios VP Phil Spencer stated in an interview that Ryse was still in development and still a Kinect game, reassuring, "We're just not at a point right now to show the game, and instead of ... we're still working with Crytek, we're still extremely committed to the relationship, but we want to make sure that we're putting our best foot forward every time we show the game. You'll see more about that game, no doubt."
He added, "Kinect will be part of the game, absolutely."
