Director Guillermo del Toro's promising horror videogame Insane has been dropped by THQ, the troubled publisher has officially confirmed.

While the game is no longer being developed by THQ, there remains the chance that another company will pick up development of the game, much like Square-Enix picked up True Crime: Hong Kong (and renamed it Sleeping Dogs).
