Risen 2: Dark Waters, which can be best described as “The Elder Scrolls with Pirates”, will be delayed until May. The release date has been changed from the 27th April worldwide to the 22nd May in North America and 25th May in Europe.
No reason was given for the delay, but the first Risen was memorably launched with a host of bugs in the PC version, while the Xbox 360 version was not developed by Piranha Bytes - instead it was outsourced. As a result, the game was even worse.
Risen 2 is being developed for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 - and all of the versions are being done in-house.
Strategy Informer’s Joe Robinson got to check out the latest build of the game on the 27th February. Check out his preview here.
