Hawken developer Adhesive Games has announced that their mech shooter will be using Donya Labs’ Simplygon 3D optimization tech.
Basically, Simplygon is a middleware software tech that ”improves rendering performance”, allows ”high-quality LOD chains in seconds”, optimizes 3D content automatically, and allows earlier and faster iteration time for LODs. In short, the middleware improves graphics while allowing better performance and frame rates.
Hawken is due to be released on the 12th December 2012 for PC. Gamers can still apply to join the beta at the official site here.
