Back in November, users who were banned from the Electronic Arts forums even for minor offenses - and in some cases, incorrect offenses as well as being pegged as "repeat offenders" on their first ban - found themselvestheir games on Origin, even offline.
The backlash caused EA to "more equitable rules." Most of the complaints, however, came from the heavyhanded customer support, which EA also apologized for.
Electronic Arts has now announced that being banned for multiplayer violations will no longer lock the player out of their single-player games or the DLC. In addition, the Offline mode will no longer lock out DLC. However, it's still unknown whether forum bans will still affect game bans.
