The player with the most zombie kills under their belt will earn a huge 50k points, which can then be spent unlocking game goodies through RE.net, tease Capcom. They’re ”ironing out” issues.
The publisher admits they’re having some technical blips now and then but are working all the time to fix them. 2nd place gets 30k points in this ”wipe out the zombies” event.
If you come 3rd in the leaderboard then its 10k for you, and then they get more lennient with 4th to 100th getting 5k, 101st to 1000th getting 3k, 1001st to 5000th getting 2k and finally 1k points for those 5001st and below. The event will run until October 20th and the linked account must be accessed through a console that’s connected to the internet.
”When the smoke clears, the top player with the most kills gets 50,000 RE points, nearly all you need to unlock one of the bonus Mercenaries costumes, or a whole lotta other goodies tucked into RE.net,” posted Capcom Unity.
”We’re also still ironing out the various technical issues on the site, a little bit each day. Thanks for your patience and just know the team is working hard to make the site ever easier to use.” Resident Evil 6 released on Xbox 360 and PS3 earlier this month, and will also launch on PC at an undisclosed date.
