Freebird Games’ Kan Gao has announced that his evocative puzzle-adventure game To the Moon will be released on Steam soon.
According to a tweet by Gao, he revealed, ”Here’s a semi-casual Twitter announcement: To the Moon is coming to Steam.”
To the Moon is a variation of the theme of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, in which a dying man can have any memories implanted in his brain. The catch is that it’ll be the last thing they ever remember before they die. The game takes a pair of scientists and the player through the man’s memories, going backwards through his life, experiencing his love, loss and regrets.
The game is also a vehicle for the beautiful music and songs of Laura Shigihara, who is best known in the videogame field for her song “There’s a Zombie on Your Lawn” from Plants Vs. Zombies.
