The Left 4 Dead development team has announced that the upcoming "Cold Stream" DLC will be getting a release date soon, along with the fan-demanded return of the Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse mutator.
In the team's blog, they revealed that the Cold Stream campaign would be coming soon, promising, "Now that we have a solid version of the maps (some minor changes still coming), we are focused on the DLC and getting some pesky bugs out of the shipping version. As soon as we have a release date we will let you know."
Cold Stream is a modder-made campaign that is set in a mountain forest similar to the Pacific Northwest, with plenty of trees, ravines and rope bridges.
As for the Four Swordsmen mutator, the team noted that the second they asked fans for the next mutation, "minutes later we had a request for Four Swordsmen and just as we said it aloud we decided to load it up and check it – it had been awhile and we have some new members of our team."
"Four hours later we realized we better ship this since it‘s what we tested. So while it only has three votes, we will take the top tweets for upcoming Mutations. Right now we are leaning towards Versus Survival. A team favorite as well," the blog added.
