Gamers who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are upset as Activision has pulled the special pre-order content Nuketown 2025 map from almost all of the multiplayer modes in the game.
Black Ops 2 design director David Vonderhaar confirmed this in an apologetic "Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger.",
Vonderhaff did suggest in another tweet, "Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games."
This is cold comfort, however, as Custom Games are seldom used in Black Ops 2 due to the fact they're unranked.
Activision only stated that the publisher was "checking into" the situation. Stay tuned.
