Peter Molyneux has started a new Kickstarter project, Godus, which will be, according to the official page, ”an innovative reinvention of Populous, the original god game and delivers exciting global co-operation, competition, creation and destruction to a whole new generation.”
According to Molyneux’s 22Cans development team, Godus will feature “a living world” which will be influenced by the player’s alignment, good or evil. In addition, the game will draw on ”the cunning battle-psychology of Dungeon Keeper, the living, changing world of Black & White and the instinctive, satisfying gameplay of Populous.”
Godus will be released for PC and mobile with a September 2013 release window. Molyneux hopes to bring it to other platforms as a stretch goal.
