EA Sports is returning to the basketball space, and the publisher will be dumping the quickly-aborted NBA Elite banner, and will be going with NBA Live 13 as its next outing.
The information was revealed by a tweet from the official EA Sports twitter, which read, "@CavsJoeG: At @EASPORTS with @kyrieirving, here getting his first taste of the new #NBALIVE13!"
"CavsJoeG" is Cavs.com writer Joe Gabriele, who was apparently playing NBA Live 13 with young Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving at the NBA/WNBA Fit All-Star Youth Celebration.
NBA Elite 11 was briefly released, but was after it proved to be a buggy mess. This prompted EA Sports to take a step back from making any b-ball games to compete with the dominant NBA 2K series.
It'll be interesting to see how the hiatus has benefited NBA Live 13.
