Dutch gaming site PS Focus is claiming that Bethesda Softworks has cancelled Prey 2, the intriguing sequel to the oft-delayed original game that took several years long to produce.
According to the site, the first clue something was wrong was that Prey 2’s developer Human Head was pulled by Bethesda from Game Developers Conference a few weeks ago. ”Now we hear the story from different reliable sources that Prey 2 has largely disappeared,” the site adds.
PS Focus then stated that ”there will be an official message coming out from Bethesda regarding the cancellation” in the coming week.
Both Bethesda and parent company Zenimax have issued a “no comment” in response to queries about Prey 2. Stay tuned.
