Assassin's Creed has no end in sight, even withstanding the deaths of key characters, but Assassin's Creed 4 game director Ashraf Ismail insists that the series will have an ending.
Ismail stated in an interview, “The brand team that sits on top and is filled with writers and designers concerned with the series’ overall arc. So there is an overall arc, and each iteration has its place inside this. “We have an idea of where the end is, what the end is.”
“We have an idea of where the end is, what the end is.”
Of course, UbiSoft has three Assassin's Creed games in development simultaneously, making finding closer a little difficult. Ismail explained, “We’re now able to seed stuff earlier and earlier in our games. So for example in Assassin’s Creed 4 we have Edward, who was seeded in Assassin’s Creed 3. But there’s a lot more stuff in our game that is hinting at other possibilities."
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is due to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 29th October 2013, and next-gen after that.
