Finnish game developer Tribe Studios Ltd. has announced that its experimental social multiplayer game Velvet Sundown will be arriving on PC and Mac OS in December 2013.
The unique premise finds four players finding themselves as passengers on a luxury yacht, each with their own missions and goals. The intriguing part of the game is that in order to fulfill these quests, players must interact with each other socially.
”There are no pre-populated questions and answers, rather every player can let their fantasy run free in trying to persuade others players,” promises the developer.
Each game runs the length of a television show, around 45 minutes, with “tens of millions of different outcome variations” based on the player interaction and problem solving.
