Here’s some brand new screenshots from the latest Lord of the Rings game Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor, featuring the lead character and some of the game’s forbidding environments.
A third-person action game with light RPG elements, Shadows of Mordor sees you playing as Talion, a ranger of the North who dies and is resurrected with wraith powers. I’m sure that Tolkein lore-buffs are taking it all in stride. As long as he can’t also turn into an Ent or something.
In the bottom left screenshot you can see Talion employing said powers, special abilities that he can use to destroy his enemies.
Shadows of Mordor is scheduled to be released sometime in 2014.
