This new multi-platform title in the works will be announced later this summer. CAT Game Invest regularly invests in game studios by around $500k on average. Limbo was born from their money.
That would be the game Limbo, not the mythical place - just had to be clear there. Tough Guy is excited because the investment doesn't mean creative interference.
"As a small indie developer, we have always valued our own independence and the prospect of securing funding for the second Tough Guys project whilst simultaneously retaining this was quite daunting,” said Morten Sommer, CEO and Games Designer at Tough Guy Studios, “In CAT Science we found an investor that understands our crazy game ideas and supports us financially with the freedom of letting us make the product we want for our gamers."
Tough Guy Studios was founded in May 2011 and they believe 80% off a game should be made up of a player's imagination and emotions. Their first title Time Ducks has proved a cult hit for mobiles.
