Creative Assembly has released a new Total War: Rome II developer diary that’s focused on naval-gazing (pun fully intended, with apologies), as combat over the ocean is revealed, which includes ramming, boarding, and the debut of the Firepot Dieres assault ship, as well as the stout, oaken Heavy Raiders used by barbarians.
According to the developer, ”Smaller, faster-moving ships are capable of outflanking larger, slower ships, in a manner similar to the cavalry/infantry dynamic.”
Total War: Rome II is due to be released on the 3rd September 2013 for PC.
