CS:GO's Winter Offensive update went live yesterday, giving players the chance to exchange gifts, as well as try out two new maps.
Cobblestone is a remake of the original CS classic map, while Overpass is a brand spanking new one. Both are currently only available offline and through official matchmaking in Operation Bravo. Valve want the new maps to be "as fun and balanced as possible" before they release them fully.
In other news, there's a variety of incongruous weapon decoration available, much of it sourced from the community. Players can swap Gift Cases with each other, which contain the various weapon skins.
One of these cases, the eSports Winter Case, will see a percentage of profits from sales go to future CS:GO eSport tournaments' prize funds.
