The Director’s Cut for Eidos Montreal’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution is on its way for Nintendo Wii U, hence why this walkthrough trailer is all about using the Wii U Gamepad. What about PC?
Don’t worry Deus Ex fans because, in case you forgot, Square Enix announced the Director’s Cut will also be heading to PC and consoles. We get to see one of the revamped boss fights.
The moments when facing a boss in Human Revolution was a starkly different experience to the rest of the game, and this was understandable given Eidos Montreal didn’t design them.
In fact the boss sequences were handled by a development studio who never experienced the Deus Ex franchise before, which is why they turned into absolute slugfests that proved extremely difficult to get through for the more stealthy Adam Jensens out there. Now Eidos Montreal has redesigned these sections for hacker/stealth ninja types.
”See all the new features of the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution in this walkthrough that takes you inside the FEMA camp all the way to Barrett’s boss fight,” boast Square Enix. It’s unclear how the Director’s Cut will be released for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, which also includes the Missing Link DLC built in. It’ll likely be standalone, not an ‘upgrade’.
No release date has yet be given for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut on any platform. It’s pricing ”won’t be $60,” said a Square Enix rep, hopefully meaning the final price tag will be respectable for, basically, a HD touch-up.
