The facility’s grant will aid Microsoft’s “Project Mountain,” which is responsible for maintaining Xbox Live and the upcoming Xbox One cosole’s Xbox Live Cloud.
According to Microsoft data center GM Christian Belady, the expansion ”supports the growing demand for Microsoft’s cloud services” and represents ”our latest in efficient data center thinking.”
Microsoft announced at its 21st May reveal of the Xbox One that the console would be backed by 300,000 servers to support cloud gaming and other Xbox Live services.
