Stellar Impact developer Tindalos Interactive, Etherium. The RTS is due to be released on PC in June 2014.
The game features three different empire factions fighting over control of a planet which has a mysterious element called etherium. Each faction has its own individual characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, technologies and special skills, such as climate control, espionage and precognition.
One of Etherium's gimmicks is a dynamic weather control system that has a direct effect on gameplay and strategy, such as summoning a sandstorm to provide camouflage for the player's troops. One faction can even use weather to predict future events.
In addition, the single player campaign in the game is non-linear, with dynamic shifting of territories. According to the developer, "Every continent and moon has very diverse environments, and varied terrain that will force you to adapt your strategy and employ different tactics: arid desert, jungles and swamps that impede the advance of the tanks, icy worlds, island archipelagos... you must consider the terrain very carefully before implementing your strategy!"
Complementing the three main factions are six secondary factions including raiders, alien beings, among others, who can be friends or enemies depending on the player's interaction with them.
Finally, there are online gameplay modes that support up to four players.
