Ubisoft took over the publishing role for Obsidian Entertainment’s South Park: The Stick of Truth as THQ went down in flames, so naturally the question of Uplay arises, however it won’t be used at all for the RPG.
Obsidian has confirmed ”it’s a Steam game, with Steam achievements, etc.” This will please many who distrust Uplay given its sordid past on PC, but Steamworks remains.
There isn’t a smidgen of Uplay to be found in the South Park game, according to the developer. They are sticking with their Steamworks guns for achievement addiction.
@MacDragon Yep, it's a Steam game, with Steam achievements, etc.

There will be no option to use any Uplay features, unless everyone wouldn’t mind another 6 month delay? Didn’t think so. South Park: The Stick of Truth releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 March 4th in the US, 7th in EU.
