Those rumours that began circulating at Russian expo Igromir 2014 last week turned out to be true: Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is coming to Steam this December 18.
The PC version will bring a raft of improvements, including 4K resolution, an increase in the number of simultaneous light sources and the number of models that can be displayed on-screen, and improved shadow resolution.
Set in 1975 Cuba, Ground Zeroes essentially lays the plot foundations for next year’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. It’s one big mission, set in a sprawling secret prison base called ’˜Camp Omega’. Your task is to rescue deep cover agents Paz and Chico, but you’ve got the run of the whole base, and - like in any Hideo Kojima game - there’s a truckload of secrets and easter eggs to find.
Look for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on PC this December. The Phantom Pain is set to follow on next year.
