What's the point after all if you and your Corps go to all that trouble to 'lock down' some lucrative bases after some tough fights, only to have mere fodder sweep in and take it away.
There's also the problem of 'point flipping' where certain factions let each other take key positions, to then sweep through again and then withdraw. SOE said their current method to the World Domination Series had tried to avoid the huge 'zerg rushes' by making it more valuable to hold and defend long held territory, and to take it.
