Rockstar Games is the bearer of good and bad news for GTA 5 fans. Firstly, the PC crowd is going to have to wait until late January before setting off for sunny Los Santos. That’s the bad news.
The good news is the studio has also revealed what shiny new things await the next-gen remastered GTA 5. New weapons, vehicles, activities and enhanced effects are all in.
Wildlife is also given a boost to be more diverse, with a new foliage system to give nature a touch up. Traffic is much denser on the roads with weather effects dialled up to 11.
”Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will also feature enhanced radio selections with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations,” revealed Rockstar.
”A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.”
Rockstar has also increased the total player count possible in GTA Online, with up to 30 players now supported by Xbox One and PS4. Existing characters can also be transferred to the new and improved online version. It’s unclear whether PC could enjoy an even higher player count yet.
Higher resolutions and vastly improved draw distances are part of a ”range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever.” Sadly PC fans will have to painfully wait until 2015. Read the full Rockstar Newswire announcement for more.
