Relic Company of Heroes 2. We're heading to Belgium, specifically to the Ardennes Forest, site of the infamous Battle of the Bulge.a new singleplayer campaign expansion for
Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault will see the US army take on the might of the German Oberkommando West in 18 new solo scenarios based on one of the bloodiest battles of World War Two.
It sounds pretty interesting. You'll choose from three different army Companies, each with their own officers and play-styles. Rather than a standard mission structure, decisions and actions you make will transfer across the entire campaign. Relic haven't given any specific examples of changes to the narrative, but they do say that these decision will affect the upgrades and Veterancy options your commander receives.
One thing I definitely like the sound of is the limited materials you'll be working with - your soldiers aren't an infinite resource, so you'll need to make sure you don't spend their lives needlessly. Previous Company of Heroes campaigns have always been a little too easy thanks to the fact that recruiting new troops was simply a matter of sitting back and waiting for your resources to fill back up. Apparently that won't be an option here, so I'm looking forward to more of a challenge.
Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault will be released for PC on November 18, 2014.
