DotA 2 is going to receive a new update soon, and all signs point to it including a brand new hero - the powerful wizard and seer known as The Oracle.
So technically Valve hasn’t actually confirmed his addition yet, but they have released a mini comic starring him. His details, including his various powers, were also leaked some time ago.
As you might imagine from a character called Oracle, our latest hero’s abilities aren’t your usual damage bursts and buffs. Instead he gets some very weird abilities than can be used to both attack his enemies and aid his friends. ‘Purifying Flames’, for instance, damages and then heals over time. You could either use it to finish off an enemy, or heal an ally. Either way, you’ll have to be careful.
You might be thinking that this is not a hero for beginners. I’d say you’re probably right. No word on when DotA 2’s new update The Foreseer’s Contract will be released, but this is part one of an ongoing comic series. Expect more information soon.
