Harebrained Schemes has revealed the release date for its upcoming Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director’s Cut. It’s out on September 18 and brings new missions, music, combat improvements and more.
As Harebrained has previously confirmed, you won’t have to fork out for the new edition if you already own the game, or were a Kickstarter backer of the initial Shadowrun project.
To those new changes, then. First of all there’s a brand new UI, with a full skill bar replacing the clunky click-through system of old. New visual effects have been added, including improved lighting and enhanced death animations. There’s a new armour system which Harebrained hasn’t fully explained yet, but promises to do so in an upcoming blog post.
The developer also hasn’t revealed too much about the new missions, either in terms of content or quantity. Again, Harebrained promises to tell us more in the next few weeks.
So set your chronos for September 18, chummers.
