"redeveloped from scratch" for PC.
It carries "significant enhancements" from its mobile origins, and they're "hard at work" on content and features exclusive to Evolved, such as multiplayer and custom scenarios.
Plague Inc: Evolved is all about building a virulent plague and nurturing its spread across the world, using those good-for-nothing humans as carriers and incubators.
The core game with 7 disease types and 3 cheat modes will be available once the Early Access build is live. "We are still hard at work adding in new content and cool features - the game is stable and polished but not currently feature-complete." Ndemic would like to remind us there will be bugs, and not the 'good kind'.
"We are aiming to push out new builds very regularly. Between you and me, a lot of the other features are also very nearly ready to go, but I want to make sure they’re perfect before sharing them with you and getting your feedback. If everything goes smoothly, it will be feature-complete and out of Early Access in a few months."
Plague Inc: Evolved will be priced at $14.99 on Steam Early Access. "I've thought long and hard about the price point of the game and I believe that $14.99 is a fair price. It reflects the value of the additional features in Plague Inc: Evolved without being significantly more expensive than Plague Inc. on mobile."
