A quick 1 minute 16 second video has been released by Maxis that explains the simplicity of switching between the traditional online multiplayer of SimCity, to the new offline Single-Player Mode hotness.
A SimCity producer details the advantages of single-player, like multiple saves. Switching between the two modes just takes a button press. "It's that simple," they declare.
Yes, it's that simple that it took till now to accomplish. Hopefully Maxis will now turn their attention toward more fundamental issues like the simulation itself.
While we now have control over city save states as they're kept locally, little has been explained about what we can do if something goes wrong, like the all-to-frequent Great Works bugs that left cities in the same region 'out of sync' with one another. Are you going to receive tools to deal with these all-to-common glitches?
